CSI: Vegas answered whether Josh Folsom would return to work in the latest episode of the CBS series. While working on a case involving the death of two Rat Pack impersonators, Max dealt with the ramifications of what Josh did and her feelings over his return.

While the rest of the team seemingly wants him back, Max has hesitated. This is fair considering that he had always been one of her trusted employees, so to have him jeopardize his job was hard to grapple with.

Max ended up being his fiercest critic, something Josh found hard to swallow. Even though he originally was going to stay silent, he decided to defend himself. In the end, he did almost lose his job, but then Max spoke up in his defense. She told the review board that if they did fire him, then it would be a mistake.

She really went to bat for him, but it’s clear she still feels betrayed by his actions. Max told Josh as much, letting him know that despite his return to work, he was being demoted to being CSI Level One. He also would be on a short leash, needing to report to Max about his whereabouts.

So Josh will be back to work in time for Episode 4 and by the looks of the previews, it will be in time for Allie to find herself stuck in a crime scene after an explosion. This could be his first test in holding himself together to help a friend in trouble.

Seeing Josh back at work and proving himself to Max again will be something to look forward to as the season continues. It makess sense that Max would be concerned about having him back, considering how hard she worked to fix the lab’s reputation when she began working there.

The next episode of CSI: Vegas will air on Sunday, March 17 at 10/9c. Make sure to catch previous episodes on Paramount+.
