Law & Order: Organized Crime is back for Season 4 and expect a lot of changes happening for the hit series!
Law & Order: Organized Crime left off Season 3 with a crossover with Law & Order: SVU as the two squads joined together to hunt a website that offered hits on anyone for certain parties. That included trying to kill Benson and Stabler.
While capturing the perp, Whelan was badly wounded and paralyzed in the hospital. He confessed to Jet he loved her before dying with the implication his father may have ended his misery.
The season ended with Stabler headed out of town for a new undercover assignment. That was how we left off before the WGA and SAG strikes curtailed production on Season 4.
Now it's finally time for Season 4 to start and "Memory Lane" looks like a powerful beginning.

The new season begins with Stabler coming back from his assignment to find some changes, from Bell trying out a new AI system to Jet and Reyes dealing with Whelan's death.
"SEASON PREMIERE - Stabler must deal with rapid changes at work and home after returning from a dangerous undercover assignment. Bell hires an advisor whose AI technology program could revolutionize police investigation. Jet and Reyes struggle with Whelan's absence."
A long-range plot for Season 4 will be Stabler reuniting with his estranged brothers, one of whom is played by Dean Norris. It's unsure if the season will continue the trend of story arcs or more self-contained cases, but the premiere indicates Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 will make up for lost time with some great new action and drama.
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 premieres on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
