We knew Olivia Benson would appear in an episode of Law & Order. Well, it’s happening already. Get ready for her to surprise the prosecution in Law & Order season 24, episode 2.
It’s rare that we see an SVU crossover with the mothership series. That’s because we usually get the Bensler crossover moments between SVU and Organized Crime. However, it’s time for something different to happen, and Benson is sure to shake things up.
When the accused is the victim in Law & Order season 24, episode 2
The episode seems to be a normal case at first. The creator of an AI dating app is found dead. Riley and Shaw do the investigating to lead to Price and Maroun at the trial. Who would want to kill a man who is just obsessed with love? Well, it turns out that it could be someone who used the dating app.
Only, Benson arrives to surprise the prosecution. She is going to be a witness for the defense. This is one of those cases where the accused isn’t just a guilty party. She was a victim, and it’s time to prove that the murder was in self-defense.
Benson shares that the accused was being stalked by the murder victim. Sure, this in itself doesn’t justify murder, but if he then ended up attacking her, it would. She would be killing to protect herself, and that is a justifiable action.
Benson isn’t going to let this slide, but neither is Price. I’m excited to see these two go head to head.
