Law & Order Season 24 will see another change to the cast. Now we know when we’ll get some answers about where a character is going.
NBC has set the premiere dates for its fall shows. We already knew that Law & Order Season 24 would return on Thursdays to kick off a night of crime and legal drama. Now we know when that is going to be. We had expected September, but NBC is holding out until October for the return of this series.
Law & Order Season 24 premiere date confirmed
NBC has set the date as Thursday, Oct. 3. It’s not too long into October to have to wait. The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT as usual, kicking off a night of crime. It’s not going to be a full night of Law & Order drama, as Organized Crime will no longer be the last show on Thursday nights. Instead, we’ll get the sophomore series Found.
There are some questions from the Law & Order Season 23 finale that we need answering as soon as the series returns. One of those is whether Baxter will remain as DA. His past came up, including a deal that lowered a felony to a misdemeanor. This was just as there was a re-election as DA, and the vote was too close to call as the episode ended.
We also know that Lt. Dixon is leaving, but there was no word on how that was happening. Camryn Manheim left the show after the finale, so we’ll need to wait until the premiere to find out what has happened to her character. This is common for Law & Order, but it would be nice if we would get answers before the end of a season. Hopefully, this is the only change, as we already dealt with half a season without Jack McCoy.
