There is not a new episode of NCIS on tonight, Monday, March 18. CBS is taking another week off from new episodes, but we do have a return date.

It is disappointing to hear that there isn’t a new episode of our favorite crime drama on tonight. We’re used to NCIS Mondays. However, we will still get some reruns of the two NCIS shows.

For fans of the OG series, it’s all about that heartbreaking but beautiful goodbye to a beloved character. With the death of David McCallum, the series had to write in Ducky’s death. The writers did a beautiful job of that, and all the characters got a chance to mourn the loss. Tonight is a chance to rewatch that episode, so get the tissues ready.

When will NCIS return with new episodes?

This break is likely linked to the need to schedule out the episodes. Due to the strike action, we’re only getting 13 episodes to the season. The mid-February start date has meant just slightly more than 13 weeks to the middle/end of May, which is when CBS likely still wants the finale to air. So, that means a couple of breaks here and there in the schedule.

There isn’t long left of the break. We will get a new episode on Monday, March 25. There were no details released for the episode at the time of writing this. CBS tends to release a promo a week before new episodes return, so we’ll keep an eye out for that tonight.

If you don’t want to watch a rerun of the tear-jerker of an episode, there are plenty more available. Turn your attention to Paramount+ to watch whichever season and episode of the series you want. Yes, even the earlier years.
