The team walks in each others' shoes in NCIS Season 21, Episode 3

We have seen the NCIS team excel at their own jobs. They also know that others do the other important jobs better than them. Well, it’s time for them to see just what others do in NCIS Season 21, Episode 3.

This episode is going back to some of the more humorous elements the series is good for. The previous episode was a beautiful tribute to David McCallum’s Ducky. It was a needed episode considering McCallum passed away suddenly in September 2023. The episode gave fans and the actors a chance to mourn the loss of a great colleague and wonderful character.

Now it’s time to get back to normal, though. That’s certainly what this latest episode is going to do.

NCIS 21x03 promo

The promo makes it clear that everyone is going to do a job that they’re not used to in the office. It looks like Knight will do some maintenance, while Torres is going something with accounts. Photos show that it looks like McGee is going to get a chance to see what Palmer’s workday is like.

This is great, and it’s sure to set up some hilarious moments. The problem is that this could affect the case. It’s going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.

NCIS 21x03 synopsis

The synopsis tells us that Kasie is the one who brings the case to the team. She gets a distressing call from a mysterious man. Is this what gives Parker the idea of switching out the roles? Is this a chance to put Kasie in the field?

That would make a little more sense than the idea that this Walk-a-Mile Day is something annual. In all 21 seasons, we’ve not see the team switch jobs for an episode.

I’m excited to see Kasie in the field, though. It’s going to put her out of her comfort zone, as we’ve seen happen in the past. And she usually excels once she gains her footing and confidence.
