Season 21 of NCIS has been memorable for several reasons. The cast bid farewell to the beloved Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard. After the death of actor David McCallum, it was obvious that the cast would honor the last original character on the show.
Most fans hoped to see the return of an original character to mourn Ducky's death. And they were rewarded. "Very Special Agent" Anthony DiNozzo returned in a touching appearance. He joked about Timothy McGee's movie choices and teased Dr. Jimmy Palmer with his nickname, "Autopsy Gremlin."
All in all, with clips from previous seasons, it was a fitting tribute to the iconic character. And now, as the team moves forward, we will find out that there is more to McGee than meets the eye.
How is McGee's family expanding on NCIS?
Well, if you didn't have McGee somehow expanding his family on your NCIS bingo card, you're not alone. But that is exactly what is going to happen during Season 21. McGee and his wife, Delilah Fielding, already share twins. Their son is Johnny McGee and their daughter is named Morgan McGee. These busy working parents already have their hands full.
According to TVLine, McGee's family tree is going to be growing. “All of our characters on NCIS know that family is more important than anything,” showrunners David North and Steven D. Binder explained. The showrunners continued, “But after McGee takes a genealogy DNA test, he’s shocked to find out he has more family than he realized.”
Well, that would be a surprise! There is no additional information on this spoiler, or when this will occur during the season. It is certainly an entertaining twist. So, how many more relatives are going to be added to McGee's updated family tree? Stay tuned to find out!
NCIS airs on Mondays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+ .
