Right now, it’s possible to watch a fair few seasons of NCIS on Netflix. Other seasons are only available on Paramount+, but you can still go back to the beginning of the series on Netflix right now. That ends tomorrow, Saturday, June 29.
Yes, it’s bad news for those watching the early Gibbs years on Netflix right now. NCIS Seasons 1 to 11 are leaving the streamer on Saturday, June 29.
While this is disappointing, it was only really a matter of time. CBS has pushed to put as much of its content on Paramount+ as it can. You can head to that streaming platform to watch all episodes of the series. You can also watch other NCIS shows via this streaming platform.
Two seasons of NCIS are joining Netflix
While 11 seasons are leaving, two seasons are heading to Netflix on Sunday, June 30. Fans will get the chance to stream Seasons 16 and 17 on the big streaming platform.
The 16th season picks up a month after Director Vance goes missing. Gibbs is Acting Director for the whole of NCIS, and that’s not a job that he wants. Gibbs’s team is looking for their usual director, and they will leave no stone unturned.
The finale is the one that sees Fornell turn to Gibbs for help when his daughter is hospitalized after an opiate overdose. Fornell wants to go after the drug dealers who sold the drugs. This episode is a catalyst for Fornell in later seasons.
NCIS Season 17 was the season that Ziva returned, after being presumed dead for the last few years. She is there to help Gibbs in his time of need, which also helps to set up the storyline for Bishop to leave the series just a season later. This was the season filmed during the pandemic, so it ends abruptly after just 20 episodes.
