Tracker

CBS is giving Tracker a big push by premiering it right after the Super Bowl. In his first major post-This Is Us role, Justin Hartley is Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist touring the country in his van. He says he can find just about anything as he works for anyone from the police to private persons while hiding his own past.

The supporting cast includes Robin Weigert and Mary McDonnell, but this is Hartley’s show, and his charm and tough demeanor should make it a fun new addition to the CBS crime show library.

Tracker premieres on CBS on Sunday, Feb. 11.

Pilot
Carrie Preston stars as Elsbeth Tascioni in ELSBETH, a new drama based on the character featured in THE GOOD WIFE and THE GOOD FIGHT. The show follows Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who, after her successful career in Chicago, utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD. ELSBETH premiers in the 2023-2024 season on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. /

Elsbeth

After stealing episodes on The Good Wife and The Good Fight, Carrie Preston brings her Emmy-winning turn as Elsbeth Tascioni to her own show, Elsbeth. The quirky, eccentric legal genius has moved from Chicago to New York to start her own firm but somehow lands a side gig helping the NYPD.

It’s a change in direction, but Preston’s fantastic performance made Elsbeth a favorite, so it could work here. Seeing her shift her unique mindset to crime-solving might be fun and looks to be another good entry on CBS’ push of crime shows.

Elsbeth premieres on CBS on Thursday, Feb. 29.
