No, FBI Season 6 is not coming in January 2024
We are more than ready to get our TV show viewing back to normal. The bad news is the networks aren’t all ready for us. FBI Season 6 will not premiere in January 2024.
The show has been heavily delayed due to the strike action throughout the summer. While NBC opted for January starts, most other networks have opted for February to bring shows back. This made sure there was plenty of time to get through post-production of the first set of episodes since production couldn’t start up until after Thanksgiving.
It means that while FBI Season 6 won’t premiere this month, there isn’t much longer left to wait. We also know of a character who is leaving the series for another one in the franchise.
When will FBI Season 6 premiere on CBS?
Get Tuesday, Feb. 13 in your diary. We get a full night of FBI drama again on Tuesdays, with the flagship series kicking things off at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Yes, episodes will be on Paramount+ the day after if you happen to miss them live.
Who is switching shows? Shantel VanSanten will leave the flagship series for FBI: Most Wanted as Alexa Davalos leaves that series. It is a smart move to keep a fan-favorite character in the story despite there not being the room on the team in the OG series. Plus, we have to factor in that it wouldn’t be wise to have Scola and Chase working together considering they share a child together now.
This opens the door to some crossover moments between the two shows. After all, we need to see how Scola and Chase make their careers work now that they are parents. The shows haven’t shied away from problems with parenting and the job in the past, so there is another opportunity here with Chase constantly being on the move around the country.
FBI Season 6 premieres on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 8/7c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
