No, Found isn't back in June 2024 but the wait is almost over
We are certainly ready to delve back into the world of Gabi Mosely and her staff who work tirelessly to find missing people. The bad news is we still have a bit of a wait on our hands for Found Season 2.
This wait has been a little longer than the wait for other shows. The first season wrapped up in January 2024, but we knew going into the break that there would be a second season. It didn’t take long for NBC to confirm that the second season would return in the fall.
Summer breaks are normal. The linear ratings take a hit, and the broadcast networks won’t put big scripted shows at risk of being canceled knowing this. So, the fall it is.
When could Found Season 2 premiere in the fall?
Right now, all we know is that the series will air in the fall. It will move nights to Thursdays, following new episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU. This was the initial plan for fall 2023, but the strike action last summer halted that plan.
While there isn’t a confirmed premiere date just yet, we know that NBC likes to bring fall shows back around the fall equinox. That means we’re looking at around the Sept. 21 mark. There are two good Thursdays for this. We could see NBC pick Thursday, Sept. 18 or we could see NBC wait until Thursday, Sept. 26. I’m leaning toward the Sept. 18 premiere date right now.
The second season has to pick up with the reveal that Sir is gone. The last we saw him, he was in Lacey’s home. Gabi has figured this out, but Lacey isn’t picking up the phone. Sir will know that Gabi will come straight over, so he’ll want to get Lacey somewhere else as soon as possible.
It looks like Lacey being taken is going to be the bigger storyline for the season. This allows for cases of the week while the team works together on the side to get to the bottom of where Sir is now.
