OA is getting a new love interest and here's what we know so far

It looks like OA is getting a new love interest on FBI but she may be getting him into trouble. Here's what we know.

Does OA have a new love interest on FBI? Here’s a peek at his new romance in an upcoming episode.

Since FBI started, Omar Zidan (Zeeko Zaki) has been all about the job. The handsome agent has navigated being a Muslim working for the FBI, often conflicted in his faith with the job but still doing his best. That doesn’t leave him much time for a personal life. 

For a time, OA was in a relationship with Mona Nazari (Yasmine Aker), a federal prosecutor. They got along well, and it seemed serious. However, in Season 4, Mona was set for a big job in Washington D.C., hinting OA could follow her. Instead, OA elected to stay in New York, and it appears they split up. 

Since then, OA has been more focused on the job with some personal issues. However, it appears an upcoming episode will be giving him a new love interest at last!

Who is OA’s new flame on FBI?

TVLine broke news and images of the upcoming Season 6, Episode 3, “Stay In Your Lane,” which airs on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Per the episode description:

"When a local club owner is found dead, the team works quickly to find the motive behind the murder of a seemingly innocent man. Meanwhile, OA is smitten with a new love interest but is concerned that she’s mixed up with the wrong crowd."

The woman is Gemma Brooks, played by Comfort Clinton, who has appeared on Billions, Elementary and The Daily Show. There’s no word on what occupation Gemma has, how she and OA met, or what kind of trouble she’s into yet.

However, it’s good to see the serious OA actually smiling and looking smitten for a change. It may be a bit late for Valentine’s Day, but it appears FBI Season 6 will have some romance in the air.

FBI Season 6 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS and streams on Paramount+ the following day.
