Whenever Amazon gets a hit, we tend to look at a franchise growing. We’ve seen it with The Boys and there were talks of it happening with Jack Ryan. Now it’s all about Reacher.

Alan Ritchson is Jack Reacher. There is no doubt about that. And it’s part of the reason this series immediately became so successful. There are other characters we immediately loved though, and one of those was Frances Neagley played by Maria Sten.

Well, there’s some great news for Neagley fans. She’s getting her own Reacher spin-off series.

Who is behind the Neagley spin-off series?

The project is currently untitled, but it will be helmed by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton. Both were involved in Prison Break back in the day, and Santora is behind Reacher now.

Amazon has ordered the spin-off straight to series for Prime Video. There isn’t a release date just yet.

What to expect in this Reacher spin-off

The series will follow Neagley as a Chicago private investigator. When she learns that a friend from her past was killed in a suspicious accident, she decides to investigate it for herself. She uses all the skills the 110 Special Investigators and Reacher taught her, which will mean some dangerous moments as she becomes hellbent on justice.

Neagley quickly became a fan favorite for Reacher viewers in the first season. Then she returned in the second season to help when members of the 110 were being targeted. At the end of the second season, we saw the team split the money that they gained from their actions to protect themselves and get to the bottom of what their teammate Swan was really up to. Neagley went off to start her own PI firm.

The news of the spin-off being picked up to series is also good news for Reacher fans. There were fears that the OG series would end due to Paramount TV ending production, but Amazon, Skydance, and CBS Studios are also involved in the show. The three studios will be behind the spin-off making it clear they are all happy with the way this franchise is going.
