Sight Unseen and 4 other crime dramas you need to watch in April 2024
Sister Boniface Mysteries Season 3
BritBox is the next place to turn, especially if you love crime dramas with a fun twist. Sister Boniface Mysteries brings that with a Vespa driving, crime solving Catholic nun. Yes, Lorna Watson is back for the third season.
This season picks up with Britain facing its worst winter on record. Sister Boniface is stranded with her fellow travelers, but getting home is not the only mystery they need to solve. The Star of the Orient, a precious jewel, has been stolen and a passenger on the train has been murdered. Now Sister Boniface will need to get to the bottom of the murder and the mystery before there’s another victim.
There is also the murder of an organist in the middle of a tune-up in the chapel, a sci-fi convention that brings a mysterious kidnapping, a death at a screen test.
With two episodes dropping each week, Sister Boniface Mysteries Season 3 will not disappoint. The first two episodes drop on BritBox on Wednesday, April 24.
Alex Rider
Finally, we have one for the younger audience. This is also great for all, but the crime drama has a lot of younger actors and it is based on the YA books by Anthony Horowitz.
Alex Rider Season 3 picks up off the back of some of the big reveals at the end of the second season. It’s based on the fifth book in the series, and Alex is going after the criminal network called Scorpia. Scorpia is now under new leadership and wants to extort the British Gobernment.
Alex will work with Tom and Kyra, as they’re the only two he can really trust at this point. However, he’s soon going to learn that his own ties to both the British Government and Scorpia run deeper than he would like to accept.
The third and final season of Alex Rider drops in full on Friday, April 5 on Freevee.
