Shaw's good deed may lead to tragedy on Law & Order Season 23, Episode 6 (Preview)
Law & Order closes out February with a new episode that puts Shaw in a tough spot! See a preview for an exciting new story here!
Law & Order is coming off a huge episode as, after over 400 episodes, Sam Waterston left the series. His exit was a huge one as Jack McCoy defied the mayor to convict a tech mogul of murder. To protect Price from the political fallout, McCoy resigned so the governor could appoint a replacement.
This means for this upcoming episode, there’s technically no acting D.A., so Price and Maroun will have to handle the case. Which is going to be tougher as Shaw has inadvertently aided in this brutal crime.
Law & Order 23x06 promo
The promo for “On the Ledge” opens with Shaw heroically talking a man down from a ledge, seemingly doing a great deed. However, it looks like Shaw may regret this when a shooting happens at the hospital.
Shaw himself sums up how the guy faked this whole “psychotic break” just so the hospital would treat him and he could shoot up the place. The shot of Shaw wincing in guilt shows he blames himself for this.
Law & Order 2306 synopsis
The synopsis talks about the active shooting situation and confirms it’s the same guy Shaw helped out before. Price and Maroun will have to handle this case themselves before their new boss arrives.
It’s going to be tough on Shaw as, obviously, the trial will bring up how he’s the one who got the guy into the hospital in the first place. It’s going to be the last episode before a couple of weeks off, and then the March 14 installment will introduce Tony Goldwyn as the new DA Nicholas Baxter. But the show looks ready to enter this break with one powerful episode.
"When NYPD responds to the scene of an active shooter in a nearby hospital, Shaw is shocked at his connection to the suspect. Maroun and Price face a difficult trial when the defendant offers up an insanity plea. "
Law & Order Season 23 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
