Mondays are all about Jesse L. Martin telling us all about irrational behavior on The Irrational. Well, usually they are.

NBC is changing things up this week. There is not a new episode of The Irrational on tonight, Monday, Feb. 26. Sure, the series has only just come back, but it’s on a break. And this is going to be a long one.

In case you missed it, there were only 11 episodes to the season. After a successful start, NBC did order three more scripts, but due to scheduling issues with the strike, only one of those episodes could be added in. The remaining two episodes are going to be in The Irrational Season 2.

When will The Irrational Season 2 premiere on NBC?

So, now eyes are on when we’ll see the series return. This is where we have some bad news, because it’s not going to be for a while. At least we know there is another season. That’s more than we’ve had with some shows that are only just starting up their new seasons.

There is also some exciting news. When NBC promoted the fact that The Irrational Season 2 was happening after the Season 1 finale, there was a mention that it would arrive in the fall. It looks like the series is strong enough to keep in the fall schedule, and we're excited for that!

The first season wrapped up the story of the church bombing. We got all the answers that we needed, and now we’re ready to see what comes next. What is in store for Alec and the team as they deal with the aftermath of the big reveals? The first season was more of Alec’s origin story, but he’s sure to have a lot of questions after finding out who was behind the bombing after all this time.
