Brittany Snow among the list of recruits joining The Night Agent Season 2
The Night Agent will be expanding its cast list even more for Season 2! Here’s a look at who’s in the new year for the Netflix spy series!
The Night Agent was one of Netflix’s biggest successes of 2023. Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, the series focuses on Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), an FBI agent who works a seemingly quiet assignment guarding a phone in the basement of the White House. He’s startled when it rings, and Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), a cybersecurity expert, tells him her aunt and uncle were just murdered.
The pair are soon thrust into a dangerous conspiracy, outrunning hitmen and trying to stop an assassination attempt on the President (Kari Matchett). The first season ended with Sutherland being set for a new assignment.
It was already announced that Amanda Warren of East New York would be cast as Catherine Weaver, the supervisor of a new anti-terrorist team Sutherland joins. Now we know who else is in the new season.
Who’s in The Night Agent Season 2 and who do they play?
Per Deadline, the new actors will include Berto Colon, Louis Herthum, and Arienne Mandi as series regulars. Additionally, Brittany Snow and Teddy Sears will join in recurring roles.
According to the article, Colon plays Solomon, ”a former Marine turned right-hand man/fixer for a powerful businessman”; Herthum is Jacob Monroe, “an international businessman with powerful global connections that he uses to obtain valuable information”; and Mandi will portray Noor, a “low-level aide in the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York who is looking to leverage her access to top secret information into a better life for her and her family.”
Snow plays Alice, Peter’s partner and mentor in his first assignment in Night Action. Sears plays Warren, a high-level intelligence officer who becomes the subject of a Night Action investigation.
It’s a good new cast, the biggest name being Snow, known for movies like the Pitch Perfect series and X.
This indicates that besides Basso and perhaps Matchett, the only Season 1 vet coming back is Buchanan. There’s no word yet on when filming begins, although Netflix is eager to get one of their biggest hits out there back on the streamer and push Season 2 of The Night Agent to greater heights.
