The Rookie continues to take a break tonight (March 19)

There isn't a new episode of The Rookie tonight, but we do have a return date. Here's what we know about Season 6's return.

Like a few shows at the moment, The Rookie is on a break. The show remains on a break tonight, Tuesday, March 19, but that break is coming to an end very soon.

In some good news, there is a rerun on tonight. We’ll get to head back to Nolan and Bailey’s wedding, which is full of action before they get to tie the knot. At least the wedding does end up happening and the couple gets to say “I do” in front of their family and friends.

Of course, fans want to know when the show will return. After all, while Will Trent is also on a break, The Good Doctor is back with a new episode. This is likely because The Good Doctor took a night off for Super Tuesday when the other two shows didn’t, which was a questionable move by ABC.

When will The Rookie return with new episodes?

In some good news, we knew how long this break would be from the start. The Rookie Season 6, Episode 4 will air on Tuesday, March 26. That’s next Tuesday. It will air at the now-usual time of 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

We even have an idea of what to expect in the episode. The promo tells us that Nolan and Juarez are going to be pulled into the hunt for a serial killer. The killer’s wife is even willing to turn him over. This is where it all gets even twistier. The killer has been dead for the last seven years. So, how are there new bodies?

Is this a copycat killer, or did the wife just mistakenly believe that her husband was a serial killer? And if she did, why didn’t she turn him in when he was alive? We have a lot of questions!
