The Rookie Season 6 teaser suggests the fate of one character
There is one character we’ve worried about all summer and fall. It’s been all about Aaron Thorsen after the ending to The Rookie Season 5. Would he make it through surgery?
Well, the teaser for The Rookie Season 6 is out. It gives away the fate of his character in one brief clip.
What’s strange is that the whole teaser doesn’t put any focus on Thorsen considering the way the fifth season ended. Yes, I actually had to go back to watch the episode to make sure it ended the way I thought after watching the teaser. It’s like whoever did the promotional material completely forgot.
But there is a small clip that suggests how Thorsen’s fate will go.
Thorsen is likely to survive in The Rookie Season 6
Fans will remember that Thorsen was left in a coma after surgery at the end of the fifth season. He started crashing, leaving us wondering whether he would survive or not. Juarez was by his side, and this whole situation has us concerned that she might walk away from the force after all this.
Well, the teaser for The Rookie Season 6 makes it clear that Juarez is sticking around. Lisseth Chavez has been promoted to series regular.
As for Thorsen, you’ll want to jump to the 13-second mark of the teaser. You can see a glimpse of him just behind Bradford in his uniform running toward a door. Now, this could be old footage instead of new stuff, but it does suggest that Thorsen is going to make it out of surgery alive and he is going to return to work.
Hopefully, the show does a better job of showing us what it can be like to deal with trauma after such an attack. Lucy Chen got over her traumatic experience of being buried alive a little too easily.
The Rookie Season 6 premieres on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 9/8c on ABC. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
