Can Tommy and Trevor work after that bombshell in 911: Lone Star?
Tommy has a lot of thinking to do if she wants to make her relationship with Trevor work in 911: Lone Star. The two talked about the next step, but there is something standing in their way.
Trevor and Tommy want to get married, but Trevor made it clear that there is an issue. In the custody agreement, Trevor agreed to allow his ex-wife vet anyone he married. If she didn’t or if she didn’t agree with the marriage, then it would give her the chance to pull the custody agreement.
That’s certainly one way for a woman to keep control of the father of her child. It’s questionable, but if it was just about Tommy, maybe it’s understandable. This ex-wife wants the best for her daughter. However, it’s not just about Tommy.
Tommy won’t put her daughters through the stress in 911: Lone Star
Tommy made it clear that the agreement isn’t just about the ex-wife liking Tommy. It’s about Tommy’s daughters as well. This stranger would be allowed to come in and judge children.
Erm, no thank you!
This is where Tommy has completely drawn the line. She refuses to allow her daughters to be subjected to that sort of judgment and stress, and I’m right there with her. I do get wanting to make sure her daughter is safe from the “evil stepmother” trope, but I’d draw the line at children being involved.
Is there hope for Trevor and Tommy in 911: Lone Star?
The question now is where this puts their relationship. Are the two happy to continue just dating? Could they enjoy a life together where they’re not married?
Tommy may have a change of heart with the near-death experience, but I hope that doesn’t happen for the sake of her happiness and her daughters. Instead, she needs to stand her ground on such an unreasonable part of the custody agreement.
Maybe there can be a compromise that it’s only about Tommy and not her daughters. Maybe Trevor can decide that he will fight the custody agreement, showing how unreasonable it is. There has to be a way to see them be able to make it work, but without Tommy doing all the compromising.
911: Lone Star airs Mondays at 8/7c on FOX. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
