Tracker is on the move for Season 2 and it’s a good thing

The 2024–2025 TV schedule for CBS is out, and that means we know when all our favorite shows are returning. Tracker Season 2 is officially on the fall schedule, but it’s on the move a little.

Tracker Season 2 is back on Sundays, but it’s going to move to the earlier time on 8 p.m. ET/PT. This change is immediately on the fall 2024 schedule.

Tracker moving to 8 p.m. slot is a great thing

CBS has already been testing out this earlier timeslot for Tracker this season already. While fans weren’t happy with the constant back and forth of the timeslot, it was clear that 8 p.m. was a good one. More fans are around, willing to start their Sunday nights off with drama.

With a consistent slot to start off Sundays, it’s going to be even better for the series. More fans will tune in and remember that it’s on early.

On top of that, it’s a show that performed exceptionally well after the Super Bowl and the interest stayed up. The Sunday night slot on CBS in the fall is always a tricky one as shows get pre-empted for sports all the time. Having a strong series that has already performed well with a delayed start due to Super Bowl overtime is a smart move by CBS.

The Equalizer will still air on Sundays. It will just be in the 9 p.m. slot instead. This is still a safe spot for the Queen Latifah series.

The show will keep this timeslot in the spring

Tracker Season 2 will hold onto this 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot in the spring when football is over. It gives the night an excellent start because the show has already proven to land a good audience. That then leads over to The Equalizer, which has a strong following.

This will hopefully be good for Watson, the new Morris Chestnut series about Dr. Watson from Sherlock Holmes.

After the football season, CBS needs a strong start to Sundays. Putting Tracker on immediately gets viewers hyped for a night of drama.

There is no premiere date for the series just yet. That’s not surprising as May is just the time to release the schedule. The premiere dates are set around June or July.

Tracker will air on Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
