Never judge a person by the way they initially seem. That’s something we’ve learned when it’s come to Elsbeth Tascioni.
The Good Wife character certainly proved that she is someone to watch out for. She’s an astute attorney, even if she isn’t all that convention. Why do people have to be normal? That’s something she would make you question, because she is anything but that!
Now she’s in New York, and she’s turning her attention to crime solving. That makes for the perfect spin-off series.
How to watch the Elsbeth series premiere
The first episode of the series airs tonight, Thursday, Feb. 29. You’ll be able to tune in at 10 p.m. ET/PT, straight after a new episode of So Help Me Todd.
If you don’t have cable, you don’t need to worry. You can stream shows online with the help of FuboTV and Sling TV. CBS makes it even easier with Paramount+. You can watch shows live and then you can watch them on-demand the following day.

What to expect in the Elsbeth series premiere
This episode is going to introduce us to the new characters of the series. It will also explain to us why Elsbeth has made the move from Chicago to New York. Did it start as a vacation and then end up as a place for her to realize she wanted to live in? After all, there’s no shortage of crime in New York—not that there is a shortage in Chicago, either.
This series will take on a “howdunit” format. So, we’ll know who did it, but not the whys and the hows. That’s for the NYPD to figure out with the help of their unlikely addition to the team.
Check out the promo for the series:
"The show follows Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who, after her successful career in Chicago, utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD."
Elsbeth airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.
