It’s a crazy world we live in. There are too many cases of people in the medical field doing some bad things. Dr. Death Season 1 focused on Dr. Christopher Duntsch. The second season is moving onto another doctor in this anthology series.

This time, it’s all about “The Miracle Man.” Dr. Paolo Macchiarini made a name for himself as he seemed to be able to do the impossible. This charming man managed to convince many other doctors to work with him and carry out his questionable practices, but it would all eventually come to a head.

The second season is told over the course of eight episodes. All eight drop at once, so you don’t need to feel like you’re missing out as you remember to watch each week. This weekend is a great time to binge-watch while you wrap gifts.

What is the Dr. Death Season 2 storyline?

The season follows Dr. Paolo Macchiarini. We get the story through the eyes of investigative journalist Benita Alexander. As she learned more and more about Macchiarini, she ended up falling for him. Not only do we get the medical storyline, but we also get the love story that happened between the two, and the fallout that happened at the end.

In terms of the medical storyline, the doctors are made up of composite characters. However, Ashley Michel Hoban, who took over showrunner duties from Patrick Macmanus for the season, shared that it was important to keep the patient names the same. This is their story, too.

We’ll get to see the things that Paolo did, how he got away with things for so long, and how his downfall happened.

This is not a story that you’ll want to miss if you’re into these types of medical true crime shows.
