We kicked off the FBI: International Season 3 premiere where the Season 2 finale left us. We found out who lived and who died in that explosion.

Caution: This post contains spoilers from the FBI: International Season 3 premiere.

The premiere had to pick up where the Season 2 finale left us. There was no option to jump ahead in time. We needed to see who would live and die in the explosion.

Raines ran toward the building as it exploded and was blasted back. Fortunately, he survived and was able to get into the building to find out if everyone else got out. Forrester was the first one of the team around, and eventually he found everyone else.

What happened to Raines in the FBI: International Season 3 premiere?

Damien Powell was the last one to find. He was alive but under where a beam was about to fall. Raines pushed Powell out of the way, taking the fall of the metal beam. It landed on his leg as he tried to get away.

It didn’t take long to find out what had happened. His leg was crushed and Forrester removed his belt to create a tourniquet. Raines said, “I can’t feel my leg.”

We knew there would be a major injury, and it looked like this would be it, especially when it looked like amputation was the only way to save Raines’s life. Would he also be the major loss?

Does anyone leave the team in FBI: International?

We know Heida Reed is going to leave the show in early Season 3, but in an interview with Parade, Matt Olmstead said that she would have time to meet and form a “collegial” relationship with newcomer Amanda Tate. So, would that mean someone else would leave the Fly Team?

Well, it was after confirming Raines’s surgery was a success that we learned it is Kellett leaving the team. She’s transferring to the Washington Field Office.

It is a long recovery for Raines, though. It will be interesting to see if the Fly Team will end up losing two team members this season. For now, it looks like we’re just down one.

FBI: International airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
