Will Trent is taking a break but it will be back in April 2024

Will Trent is taking a short break from new episodes. There isn’t a new episode on tonight, Tuesday, April 16, but the show will return before the month is over.

This break is linked to scheduling needs. There are only four episodes left of the season, and we know the networks want to air finales in May. CBS has already set finale dates, and we’re sure to see ABC share its dates soon. The majority of them are going to be in early to mid-May.

That means the remaining new episodes need to be spaced out. So, we’re getting a short break in the schedule now.

When will Will Trent return with new episodes?

The series will be back on Tuesday, April 30. We should then have back-to-back episodes before the season comes to an end.

In some excellent news, we know that Will Trent Season 3 is happening. This was one of the first ABC dramas to land an early renewal, shortly after 911 and Grey’s Anatomy. The renewal wasn’t surprising considering the ratings, but we’re just happy to see it happen.

What to expect in Will Trent Season 2, Episode 7

There is a promo out right now. This gives us a look at what to expect when the show returns—it also confirmed just how long the break would be.

We’ll get to see Will at a wedding, but he’s never been to one before. He’s told “no guns,” but he likely ends up regretting that decision. As in crime drama fashion, this wedding is not going to go down without a hitch. Of course, there’s a hostage situation, and if Will had a gun, he might have been able to take care of the situation quickly.

Instead, he ends up becoming one of the hostages. It’s going to be up to Faith to help save everyone. Do they not have cellphones upstairs with them? They must have time to call in backup so they don’t need to deal with the entire situation themselves.
