Will is caught in a prison riot in Will Trent Season 2, Episode 2 (Preview)
After a (literally) explosive Season 2 premiere, Will Trent is rolling along with a brand new episode! See Will put in the middle of a prison riot in this thrilling story!
The Season 2 premiere of the ABC series had Will on the job investigating a man killed in a bombing. Will realized the bomber had killed the wrong guy and was targeting an accountant (Clark Gregg) whose son was being threatened in prison. It seemed someone was organizing a racket, blackmailing the families of inmates for cash.
Will worked with Cricket, a bomb expert, and the pair got along great to the point of Will asking her out. Tragically, before that could happen, Cricket was killed stopping another bomb.
The episode ended with Will confronting imprisoned killer James Ulster (Greg Germann), who might also be his birth father. This leads right into Episode 2.
Will Trent 2x02 promo
“It’s the Work I Signed Up For” has an amazing promo with Will confronting Ulster in jail with the guy acting like this is a long overdue talk between father and son. Will’s plans to push Ulster on what he knows about the bombing are put on hold when a full-scale riot breaks out.
The promo shows Angie at the office, amazed that anyone thought sending Will to prison was a good idea. It’s indicated Ulster himself may have set this all up just to talk to Will. Either way, seeing the dapper agent behind bars is going to be a sight.
Will Trent 2x02 synopsis
The episode won’t just focus on Will, although that’s obviously going to be an issue. He’s still hurting from Cricket’s death and the hints of trauma from his past he’s long buried. That’ll come up big time to influence this case.
Meanwhile, Angie is going to be fighting to get back on the force despite not being medically cleared. Also, Oremwood discovered in the premiere that his wife was having an affair, which just worsened his relationship with his son Max.
To top it off, it’s hinted Faith may be making some sort of discovery talking to inmates, maybe tied to her new cop beau. The focus is going to be on how Will survives this wild jail trip and what he gets out of Ulster to keep Will Trent Season 2 rolling along nicely.
"Picking up where things left off, tensions escalate as Will confronts James Ulster at the prison, unraveling a complex web of inmate secrets. Meanwhile, Faith speaks to some of the inmates, making discoveries of her own. Meanwhile, Ormewood tries to rebuild his relationship with his son Max, while Angie faces a pivotal moment that brings back memories of her own past."
Will Trent Season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and streams the following day on Hulu.
