Don't expect new episodes of Will Trent in January 2024

While Will Trent Season 1 premiered in January 2023, we won't get new episodes of the series this January.

Eyes are on the return of TV. With production starting back up at the end of 2023, we’re ready to see what our favorite shows have in store for us. That includes Will Trent.

There is some bad news, though. Will Trent Season 2 is not going to premiere on ABC in January 2024. There just hasn’t been enough time to get some episodes fully through the production cycle to have them ready right now. However, there isn’t too long left to wait.

ABC has set premiere dates. Most of them are in February 2024, although there are a few shows being held until March. What is the case for this series?

When is Will Trent Season 2 coming to ABC?

We only have to wait until February. Will Trent Season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Yes, the series is holding the Tuesday night slot, but it’s going to be at a different time. This is going to kick off Tuesdays now, which is a tricky slot for sure. It goes up against CBS’s FBI, so it could be a bit of a danger. However, ABC managed to hold steady with The Rookie shows and then Will Trent on Tuesdays last year, so there is a chance of success.

The first season ended with a major cliffhanger, which will push us into the second season. James’s attack on Angie has left her potentially paralyzed. This storyline is sure to be a major part of the story as we go into the second season. What does it mean for her relationship with Will, and will she be able to make a full recovery?

It’s not yet clear which book of the Karin Slaughter series the second season will develop. ABC is keeping a lot under wraps.
