Marley and Me certainly did a number on us when it comes to dogs. Now we need to know if dogs die when they’re included in popular TV shows and movies. Only Murders in the Building immediately introduces us to Winnie, Oliver Putnam’s beloved bulldog.

During the third episode of Only Murders in the Building, Oliver returns home to find out that Winnie has been poisoned. He thinks that Sting is involved, but it’s a mystery that hasn’t been solved yet. The mystery isn’t the thing that we’re all that concerned about yet.

What we are concerned about is the fate of the dog. Does Winnie the Dog die in Only Murders in the Building? Are we going to be angry at the show moving forward?

Of course, we’re getting into spoilers here if you haven’t watched the whole series on Hulu yet. It is there for you to stream, though!

In some good news, Winnie doesn’t die in Only Murders in the Building. Oliver managed to get Winnie to the vet and save her.

Now the mystery is on who attempted to kill her and why. This is a mystery that will likely be solved before the end of the series. However, it’s one that the writers are having fun with. They haven’t forgotten! There is just a long game for some storylines, and that’s the fun with well-thought-out TV shows. At least the series has the chance to answer all the questions as it has been renewed for a fourth season!

There are other animals in the show that don’t quite get the same happy ending as Winnie. Look out for what happens to the cat!
