Will public perception of Sir change after Found season 2, episode 6?
Sir is the villain of the Found story. We all know that. He’s only helped Gabi for his own personal gain—and because he needs to feel needed. Is it possible that his recent actions could lead to him being viewed as a savior?
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Found season 2, episode 6.
The M&A team had a copycat on their hands. That didn’t sit well with Gabi, but she was able to use her knowledge of Sir to know that it wasn’t him doing the kidnapping.
Instead, it was someone who was obsessed with Gabi, herself. Elizabeth—who called herself Gabi—ended up kidnapping Charlotte over a boy, and it led to the M&A team in a race against time to save Charlotte. They didn’t get to Charlotte first, though. It was Sir who managed to get there.
Charlotte publicly thanked Sir in Found season 2, episode 6
Sir turned up and tied Elizabeth up and saved Charlotte. Of course, grateful for being saved, Charlotte decided to go on social media and publicly thank Sir for his actions.
This has led to some changes of opinion. One good deed does not make a man good. The problem is that we know Sir’s actions are selfish. He’s narcissistic and a sociopath. He needs to feel needed, so Charlotte thanking him publicly fueled that. His ability to help the M&A team find people fuels that because Gabi needs him. The people don’t see that.
It won’t change the full public perception of the man, but it could make the lives of the police difficult. There are always going to be those who feel sympathy for him, especially when it comes to being captured. There will be those who see him as misunderstood or lashing out from potential abuse. We see it all the time in real life, so it’s surely going to come up in Found.
Gabi questions her own work in Found season 2, episode 6
As all this plays out, Gabi is upset that Sir is able to take the credit for this save. Does that mean he gets to take the credit for everyone else he helped them save over the last nine months?
Lacey is the one with some sound reasoning in this episode. She points out that Sir only had information because of the M&A team. Plus, in his twisted head, where the M&A team saw a victim, he saw a suspect. He saw a twisted mind because that’s what he has. That doesn’t make him the hero of stories.
I think we’ll see a little more of Gabi’s insecurities as the season goes on from this. How much power has she given Sir in using him to her own advantage?
