High Potential will return with new episodes very soon, but tonight is not that night. However, there is a rerun on tonight, Friday, Jan. 3, and you won’t want to miss it.
Yes, this is an unusual night for an episode of ABC’s hottest new series. High Potential is a Tuesday night show, and that’s the night that it will return on next week. However, ABC wants to make sure you’re all caught up before the series returns, and it’s doing that with a rerun tonight.
Which episode can you watch on ABC tonight, Friday, Jan. 3?
Tonight’s episode is the High Potential midseason finale. This was a big one for Morgan and Ava, as they ended up in a hostage situation in the police station. Two people came in with the aim to get the cops to look at a case again. They knew that the person the cops arrested wasn’t guilty, and they need the cops to figure it out because it’s too late.
Of course, Morgan helps to do that. Does she find some sympathy for one of the perpetrators? It certainly looks that way, but we get to see a side to Morgan that we’ve been waiting to see when it comes to how protective she is of her children.
The episode will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. You can also catch up on all seven episodes so far on Hulu.
When will High Potential return with new episodes?
There is some great news for those ready for this dramedy to return. There isn’t long to wait, with the return date set for Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Make sure you tune in earlier than you did in the fall, though. High Potential is moving to the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, which is arguably a great thing for the series. The last timeslot of the night is always the hardest. A lot of people are willing to stay up for the first two hours of primetime, but tend to tune out at 10 p.m. and go to bed.
High Potential will be sandwiched between two returning shows, offering us a night of crime dramas. Will Trent season 3 kicks off the night, with The Rookie season 7 coming in at the end.
High Potential returns on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 9/8c on ABC. Catch up on Hulu.
