We know that Mickey will do whatever it takes to keep the town of Edgewater safe for everyone. That’s certainly the case on Sheriff Country season 1 episode 9.
This is the fall finale, and it looks like it’s going to end on a cliffhanger. After all, this is titled “Crucible, Part 1,” and that suggests that we’ll be left with questions going into the winter break, with the closure coming in the winter premiere. That just means a long wait, as we won’t get to see the resolution until the end of February!
Mickey makes her position clear on Sheriff Country season 1 episode 9
The promo for the episode tells us that Mickey isn’t about to just let people run their land the way they want. They may not want the sheriff to tell them what to do, but everyone needs to uphold the law of the land, and Mickey isn’t just going to sit back and see what happens. She will take control, making sure the town of Edgewater is safe.
Michael Gaston guest stars in the episode, and the images tell us that he will play a character called Enoch Barlow. It looks like he is going to cause the biggest problems for Mickey throughout the episode, as he doesn’t want her checking out his place.
What is going on at the Barlow ranch?
This would suggest that Barlow is the owner of the ranch, and that makes him one of the most powerful families in Edgewater. This could be a problem for Mickey, as she needs to get the support of the town to continue being sheriff, and she’ll want to keep the powerful families on her side. That doesn’t mean she should just let things slide.
When a father and son escape the secluded ranch, it opens up an investigation into abuse. That leads to secrets being exposed, and it could mean the takedown of this powerful family. Of course, it could also mean the opposite, with Mickey’s job and life potentially being on the line for a while.
There are some images of Travis, as well. Could he want Mickey to do what’s right for her own safety, even if it means a powerful family gets away with circumventing the law? Or could he finally want to see the town work for everyone and not just for those with money?
This could also open the door for a kiss between the two, as there seems to be the hint that they still have feelings for each other. There is a kiss that happens, but is it in the past or present?
