While there have certainly been some exciting guest stars announced for The Hunting Party season 2, there’s been one that we’ve been excited to see the most. It’s been all about Kelsey Grammer, because we can’t quite see him as a cult leader.
The downside is we have to wait for his episode. The Hunting Party is going on another break due to the Winter Olympics, and it will be back at the end of the month.
Who is Kelsey Grammer on The Hunting Party season 2 episode 5?
The promo for the new episode gives us the name of the character — well, so does the title. He is called Noah Cyrus, and Bex is on the TV screen saying that is a “narcissistic psychopath,” and the headline of the news says that he is “at large.”
What’s not clear is whether Bex is sharing this information in the present day or if it’s something from the past. We already saw with Ron Simms that he would watch some old documentaries about himself, and that included Bex’s view of who he was as a person. If Noah is a narcissist, then he's definitely going to want to watch old footage of himself.
It’s possible that this is an old report from the last time he was out. After all, the task force has been trying to keep the news of the pit explosion and the escaped criminals quiet, going as far as telling one woman that Ron was a copycat killer.
What we do get to see from the promo for The Hunting Party season 2 episode 5 is that Noah Cyrus is a cult leader. He is able to gather a group of people, and it looks like he is gathering like-minded people so that they also grow their own cult. He wants his followers to “wake the nations.”
What is Noah Cyrus planning on The Hunting Party?
There’s a lot in the promo that doesn’t make sense. We know from Bex that he’s planning something huge, but then we cut to Bex, Hassani, and Shane walking through a blank white space.
Eventually, Bex will come face-to-face with him. Will this end in a recovery or a kill? It’s always hard to tell.
The team will have a bigger issue to deal with, though. Lazarus has killed Dr. Dulles, and that’s sure to come up as more secrets start to come out. How will Shane react when he learns that his mom is actually Lazarus?
The Hunting Party returns on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 10/9c on NBC.
