If you loved seeing Melissa Roxburgh take on the role of detective in Manifest, then you’ll be ready for her new series. She plays a former government operative who is now helping to track down the world’s most dangerous prisoners in The Hunting Party.
We get our first look at the new NBC series, which will premiere on Monday, Feb. 3 at 10/9c. It’s taking over the Brilliant Minds timeslot, which will wrap up its first season two weeks earlier.
The teaser trailer is only 30 seconds long, but it sets the tone for the series. This show will see conspiracy on top of conspiracy if we read between the lines.

The trailer tells us the basic premise, which we did already know. We knew that Roxburgh’s character would lead a team looking to capture some escaped inmates from a top-secret facility. Now we know Roxburgh’s character is called Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, and she’s a former gorvnerment operative who is being called back into the action.
The teaser tells us how the inmates escaped. There was a huge explosion that made it possible for many of the most dangerous inmates in the country to get out.
“How many got out?” Bex asks in the teaser. “Too many,” is the response. This sets up for a whole season of going after individual inmates to catch them. With the teaser focusing on one in particular, we’re sure to see the hunt out for him first but for him to end up getting away and potentially being that most elusive one as the season progresses.
Who will star in The Hunting Party?
As well as Roxburgh, the main cast is made up of:
Josh Mackenzie as Shane Florence, a former soldier and current prison guard
Sara Garcia as Jennifer Morales, an Army major and intel officer
Patrick Sabongui as CIA Agent Ryan Hassani
Nick Wechsler as Oliver Odell, Bex’s former partner
Together they will track down the inmates and get them back in the prison. Of course, there will be a lot of questions that come up considering this is a prison that is top-secret. How many of the people looking for the inmates even knew about the prison in the first place? What caused the bomb to go off? And really, just how many inmates are out on the loose?
The Hunting Party premieres on Monday, Feb. 3 at 10/9c on NBC.
