Rose is back for the episode. It looked for a moment that Rose and Alec would break up. Rose didn’t want to pull Alec into her dangerous world. Of course, it’s not like Alec has the least dangerous job considering he jumps in front of oncoming trains! As Alec made it clear he wasn’t going anywhere, Rose decided that she did want to be with him and let him in.
They certainly have a lot of fun working cases together. They’ll end up working together in The Irrational season 2, episode 7, which pulls them both into the world of K-Pop.

In this episode, the fan of a K-pop star has been murdered, and it looks like the star herself did it. Why would a star kill a fan? Well, this could have been in self-defense.
I actually hate saying I’m the fan of something. It’s short for fanatic, and fanatics do some crazy things. They can create a toxic environment, and they can end up extremely dangerous. That’s what we’ve seen in real life in the past, and it could come up during this episode.
Alternatively, the star is hiding something and the fan learned the truth. Alec has a flash drive that is hidden to be something else. Could this have information on it that helps him and Rose figure out the truth? It turns out that there is some sort of dark secret in the star’s past.
