Our two detectives will head the case that searches for a serial killer in The Rookie season 7, episode 4. Get ready for a darker episode.
The Rookie is well known for its lighter content, but every now and then, we get some sort of twisty case. This one gives me feelings of when Lucy was trapped underground and running out of air. There’s a serial killer on the loose, and it’s up to everyone in the LAPD to work together.
We’ll get to see Harper and Lopez working together in leading the investigation. They may have a Ted Bundy on their hands.
Dealing with a psycho in The Rookie season 7, episode 4
The promo gives us a look at a couple of locations in this case. We see that everyone is in the middle of a field, where a body is being dug up. The body is covered, which means that it has been transported there. With there clearly being a foot on show, it means that this murder wasn’t all that long ago.
Then there’s a search in what looks like a basement of a farmhouse and then a search in a sorority. It’s rare for a serial killer to have too many locations, which means that the farmhouse and the sorority mean something to the person.
Meanwhile, Bailey wants to come home. Of course she does. She thinks that she’s safer with Nolan and she misses her husband. However, Jason is still out there, and that means Bailey is still at risk. The further away from LA she is, the better for her. But won’t Jason know who her friends and family are? Is she really safe when she’s not at the house?
There are also a lot of questions about Seth right now. He’s clearly hiding something. There is no way someone as incompetent as him made it through the Academy. What is he playing at, and what is he trying to cover up? Lucy is getting closer to sniffing him out.
