The series takes a look at the case, with how the events unfolded. Amanda was just a normal college student studying in Italy for a year, but then tragedy struck. As her roommate was found murdered, Amanda became the main suspect, and she was forced to defend herself not just from the cops but from the public reading about her case around the world.
Since then, she has been acquitted of murder. While she went through another court case (albeit in absentia), she has been definitively acquitted of murder. Now she spends her time raising awareness and helping others going through the same ordeal, and that’s partly what this new series is set to help with.

The first two episodes of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox have now dropped. They arrived on Hulu today, Wednesday, Aug. 20. The rest of the episodes will drop on a weekly basis, with eight episodes to air in total.

This is a limited series
Don’t expect there to be a second season of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. This is billed as a limited series, and there’s no need to continue the story.
However, it could always be turned into an anthology series. As Amanda Knox is a executive producer, she could decide to raise awareness about other cases, maybe those that aren’t as prolific as hers. This could be a way to help change the way the public look at those convicted of murder, especially when it happens in another country.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is exclusive to Hulu, so you will need a Hulu subscription.
