FBI: International season 4, episode 10 saw another cast exit, it seems. This one was just a temporary member of the team, but is this a permanent exit?
Caution: this post contains SPOILERS for FBI: International season 4, episode 10
The latest episode started off with a now recovering Vo return home—and eventually to work. The Fly Team had a case that involved a biotoxin, and it was all hands on deck to save a Russian woman carry out her father’s requests before his death.
While all that happened, Tyler Booth found out that his promotion to G-14 could be on the line. At the start of the episode, he learned that he could get a promotion and that he asked for the field office closest to his daughter’s school. Smitty ended up making it clear that she wouldn’t lie to protect him if it came to it. He didn’t tell the full truth about what happened in Paris, and she wouldn’t cover for him if asked the details.
Tyler Booth had to figure out what to do in FBI: International
Booth wanted to force Smitty to lie for him. He needed to find a way to get the promotion that he had worked hard for.
Smitty decided that she was going to resign instead of that. She put in her resignation to Mitchell and got on with the job.
Meanwhile, Booth called his daughter for some advice. She made it clear that her dad has never been one to push for the top. While this promotion may be possible, is it really something that he wants? Isn’t he happy with the job that he had in South Carolina?
As Booth realized that he and his daughter would still have their bond no matter where he was, he decided not to put Smitty in an awkward position. He chose to take his name to of the G-14 running, but he isn’t going to stay in Budapest. He will return to South Carolina and continue his work there.
Smitty’s resignation didn’t make it to Mitchell’s inbox
Meanwhile, Smitty had to speak with Mitchell. She didn’t really want to give up her spot with the Fly Team, and she and Mitchell have started to find a way to work together despite their differences of opinions. When she brought up the email she sent, Mitchell asked “what email?” He shared that he “didn’t get it.”
Of course, we know what that means. Mitchell deleted the email knowing that it was done in haste. That was when he explained that Booth had taken his name out of the promotion running. Smitty wouldn’t be getting a phone call, so she wouldn’t need to lie.
Now it’s time for Smitty and Mitchell to continue working together. Smitty does good with the Fly Team, and she just needs to get used to not having Forrester around.
