NCIS: Sydney fans need to pay attention right now. The series isn’t just moving nights and time slot, but it’s also moving season!

Yes, NCIS: Sydney season 3 has a fall premiere date for the first time ever, and this is huge. It will end NCIS Tuesdays, a new lineup as the NCIS and FBI shows see a switch. It makes sense considering the NCIS franchise has three shows, but it is going to put the success of the Australian-set show to the test.

After all, this series was only supposed to be a streaming show at first, but with the writers and actors strikes of 2023, CBS needed fresh content, and that put NCIS: Sydney on the air. Then the second season remained a broadcast show in North America, and it looks like CBS is sticking to that plan.

Hell Weak
“Hell Weak” – The suspected suicide of a former U.S. Navy SEAL leads NCIS: Sydney to a wellness retreat to investigate a group of his fellow former SEAL buddies, on NCIS: SYDNEY, Friday, March 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. L-R: Mavournee Hazel as Forensic Pathologist Bluebird 'Blue' Gleeson, Olivia

For those who tend to only watch CBS, then you’ll want to get Paramount+, where you can watch the network live when it comes to the bigger shows.

Look, there’s a lot airing on Tuesday nights. NBC has On Brand with Jimmy Fallon and ABC has High Potential in the fall. That means you have to pick a show to watch live, and then you’ll want to catch the others the day after. There’s no shame is NCIS: Sydney is the one you watch the day after.

So, you’ll want to turn to Paramount+ for this. Episodes drop on Wednesdays after a new one airs on CBS, with the episode usually available around 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.

What to expect in NCIS: Sydney season 3

The second season ended with a major cliffhanger, and now we’ll see partnerships change a little in the team. The season will pick up about a month after the finale, and everyone is dealing with the fallout of the arrival of the woman in Blue’s life. It’s time to find out who that woman is, and what it means for Blue’s personal and professional lives.

However, emotions need to be put to one side, because there is still work to do. There is an Ebola outbreak to deal with, a Roswell-esque encounter, and plenty of murder cases to solve. On top of that, there are questions about whether Mackey and Dempsey will do something about the obvious chemistry, but that’s not happening. At least, not just yet.

NCIS: Origins airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
