Despite originally being held for the midseason, Watson is back in the fall, and you will not want to miss a beat. After dealing with Moriarty in the first season, now Sherlock Holmes is back in Watson season 2.

The first season saw John Watson have to restart his life, believing that his dear friend Sherlock Holmes had died. Well, it turns out that didn’t happen. Or did it? Right now, I’m not sure if Sherlock’s return is part of John’s head or not.

What we do know is that Watson will be back in his clinic to help treat patients with strange disorders and diseases. He’ll have three of his interns back, while Ingrid works on herself after the events of the first season.

How to watch Watson season 2 live

Let’s start with the return of Watson, which was supposed to be part of the midseason schedule. Mondays were supposed to be about the FBI shows, with the new spinoff, CIA taking the last timeslot of the night. With that show not ready, Watson got a chance to move up to the fall, and it will premiere on Monday, Oct. 13.

After that, the episodes will air on Mondays. Tune in at 10/9c on CBS, straight after FBI, to watch. Yes, this is a change of night after airing on Sundays in the 2024–2025 TV season.

You can watch CBS via your regular cable company, but what if you’ve cut the cord? There are a few ways to watch CBS, including via Fubo TV and Sling TV. You can also tune in live via Paramount+.

What to expect in Watson season 2

The second season is going to pick up with the return of Sherlock Holmes, and it’s not clear why just yet. We were told that Holmes was dead, and there were no original plans to change that. So, what’s going on? Is he really back, or is this another symptom of something in Watson’s head?

The first episode will see a case that is a little too personal. Mary’s mother is their patient, and Watson is sure to handle this with care considering how much he still loves his ex-wife. Mary’s mother has a rare form of dementia, and she accidentally poisons herself, which brings her into the clinic. Is the dementia something that Watson can cure?

Watson airs on Mondays at 10/9c on CBS.
