Here we are. It’s time for the Will Trent season 3 finale, and it picks up off the back of the big moment at the end of the previous episode. The hospital is in lockdown as a deadly disease spreads.
During the previous episode, Ormewood and Nico got a homeless vet to the hospital when he was struggling with stiff arms, a cough, and other issues. It was soon clear that this was more than just some cold, and it had to stem from the food that he was given at the start of the episode.
Sure enough, Will and Caleb, who turns out to be Will’s biological father, learned that one of Caleb’s oldest friends is in the middle of some sort of plot that involves spreading a biological weapon. Now that weapon is out there, including in the hospital.

Amanda is taken hostage in the Will Trent season 3 finale
The promo makes it clear that lives are on the line, and not just in the hospital. While Nico and Ormewood are definitely stuck considering they chose not to leave the hospital when they were initially told to, Amanda is also there. As it slowly becomes a hostage situation, Amanda’s life is put on the line. That’s the moment Will is sure to step up.
While many will want him to stand back and allow SWAT or something to take care of it, Will isn’t like that. He will do what he can to save the woman who is very much a mother figure to him. She’s his family; and he’s made it clear to Caleb that he views her as family.
Well, the question now is whether Caleb will be on the rest of the cops’ side or Will’s side. Will he help his son find a way to storm the hospital?
This is going to give the two men more time to work together. We know that Caleb will get a much bigger rolein Will Trent season 4, and it’s so exciting to see Will finally get to know his dad. Caleb isn’t in the wrong here considering he didn’t know about Will, but now he gets to make things right.
