Broadcast networks are getting back to normal, and that means we have premieres and midseason premieres happening this week. The Will Trent season 3 premiere is one of those happening tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 7.
This is a two-part premiere, but the episodes won’t air back to back. Instead, we’ll have the second part next Tuesday, Jan. 14, and you won’t want to miss either of the episodes. The good news is ABC makes it very easy to watch shows live and later on.
How to watch the Will Trent season 3 premiere live
Tuning in live is easy. If you have a normal cable package, you can tune into ABC at 8 p.m. ET/PT tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 7. That’s the regular timeslot for the show, which is a great slot for it. This was the hour it got last season, and we saw the ratings do well.
If you don’t have cable, you probably watch via something like Sling TV or FuboTV. Look out for ABC on either of those.
You can also turn to Hulu Live if you choose to watch that way. This will allow you to watch ABC content as it airs without a cable package.

If you don’t need to watch live, you’ll want to catch-up on demand. That means finding where the series streams, and this is very easy.
You just need Hulu. With the series being an ABC series, which means it’s owned by Disney, it is available to stream on Hulu, as that is also owned by Disney.

What to expect in the Will Trent season 3 premiere
We’re picking up a year after the events of the season 2 finale. Will has been MIA for the past six months, dealing with the emotions that came from arresting Angie. She thought he would choose her, but he always had to choose the law, and that’s something he needs to deal with.
Now Angie is out of prison, but she doesn’t work for the police anymore. She wants to get back on the force, and she will face a hearing to see if she will be granted that opportunity.
We’ll also get to meet Gina Rodriguez’s character, who is a prosecutor and works closely with the police. We should get to meet her in the premiere episode based on the promo.
