Watson is back, and he’s ready to solve more mysterious cases. In Watson season 2, episode 2, it’s a case of a zombie virus, but not that type that you’re thinking.

No, we’re not going Walking Dead in the series. This isn’t a case of a virus spreading and turning people into zombies. Instead, it’s a case of a virus that was once thought gone.

When people return from traveling in Watson season 2, episode 2

There’s a lot that we don’t know about the world. And with the ice caps melting, there are fears that pathogens are going to be released that haven’t been seen for centuries. It looks like that’s the way Watson season 2, episode 2 is going with the story.

When a microbiology university researcher returns from a trip to Siberia, they come down with an illness that doesn’t connect to anything that doctors know of today. It’s highly likely that this is a pathogen that has come from the ice, something that has been considered extinct for centuries. After all, think about what it would be like now if we got a virus from the pre-ice age. We wouldn’t know how to treat it!

This is an exciting time for Watson and his fellows, though. They are all about detective work, and this is going to be one of the more intriguing cases, as they’ll potentially get to reveal a new virus at the same time. Of course, they’ll need to take steps to avoid being infected, as they won’t even know how it’s passed on!

Watson faces his former mentor

Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes is back. At least, that’s the way it seems. With the way Robert Carlyle’s version of the character has been introduced, I’m still curious at whether Holmes is alive or just a figment of Watson’s imagination. According to Us Weekly, Morris Chestnut is curious as well.

During Watson season 2, episode 2, we’ll see more interaction between Watson and Holmes, but it doesn’t look like anyone else will see him. At least, not yet. Will Watson even bring it up, considering how he kept so much to himself in the first season? He’s not a man who likes to burden others with his troubles, and he likes to solve his own problems himself.

It also doesn’t help that he doesn’t have anyone he can turn to. That’s who Sherlock was to him, and that’s who it seems he will continue to be as he works through this new medical mystery.
