We knew that Hana would realize that Ethan was hiding something from her in FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 6. What was it, and did it lead to them breaking up?
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS from FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 6.
There are always questions about how blind love really is. There’s a whole show about it! Well, FBI: Most Wanted gives us a look into that, as Hana misses all the initial signs that there’s a problem.
Of course, our first fear was that Ethan was cheating on Hana. That’s the usual storyline, right? It’s used for drama, and it brings up the questions of whether infidelity is something a couple can work through, or if it is a relationship ender—I have my own thoughts. This episode didn’t go in that usual direction, though.
What was Ethan hiding from Hana in FBI: Most Wanted?
It turned out that Ethan wasn’t cheating, but he was hiding something big. That text that she saw come through to his phone wasn’t from another woman.
It turned out that Ethan was addicted to prescription pills. There were plenty of signs leading up to this reveal, and usually, Hana would have spotted it all. It looks like love is blind.
Did Hana and Ethan break up in FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 6?
Hana had already been worried about her and Ethan because he is away so much with his job. Hana turned to Barnes for some advice on how to handle that, and Barnes did initially have some great advice: don’t give up on him.
Well, there is only so much Hana can deal with. The secret Ethan had was a deal breaker for her. Despite looking forward to Christmas with him and falling hard for him—and even finding his dog accepted her—she decided that she couldn’t be with him in the end.
It’s certainly a sad decision for Hana. We haven’t seen her found someone that she can fall for in the series up to this point, and Ethan seemed like a great guy for her. He understood her job and the danger she faced, but he also understood the way those around her would protect her and he understood how important a team was. However, it’s realistic that Hana walks away. She needs to do what is right for her.
