How are we in April already? It doesn’t seem like it when you look outside, but it really is. With May just around the corner, it means that finale season is almost here. There are a lot of shows getting ready to wrap their seasons, and FBI season 7 is one of them.

This is the only show in the current FBI franchise that’s guaranteed another season. Both spin-offs have been abruptly and unfairly canceled, and there’s still no confirmation that the new spin-off, titled FBI: CIA for now, will happen.

The season has seen a bunch of revolving partners for Scola, although it seems like he finally has a permanent colleague to work with. You have to wonder if it was worth losing Katherine Renee Turner’s Tiffany Wallace, but it has changed the pace without the usual partnerships happening. This partnership may continue into FBI season 8, but with Most Wanted ending, we are wondering what it means for Scola and Nina!

FBI season 7 will end in May 2025

As usual, CBS has set most of the finales for May 2025. FBI season 7 is one of the last shows to wrap this year. The only two after it are its fellow franchise shows.

Get Tuesday, May 20 in your diary. That’s when the finale is set to air, and it’s the night of the other two finales as well.

What to expect in the FBI season 7 finale

The synopsis for the episode is out, and it looks like this could pave the way for the CIA spin-off. We know that the original plan was to have a backdoor pilot for the new spin-off, but casting difficulties led to that not happening. Well, it looks like the storyline is setting up for the introduction of the team that will work with the CIA.

Jubal is working with a “secret FBI office,” but there is a calculated assault against him and that office. The New York Field Office needs to get to the bottom of the attack, which turns out to be a rogue terrorist group. Now the team is unsure who they can trust, so they need to work alone to get to the bottom of it all and prevent the threat to national security.

The “secret” office is sure to be one that is working with the CIA. Since the CIA can’t work on U.S. soil, it makes sense to have a team within the FBI to coordinate protective measures when people cross jurisdictions. Having a secret team also makes sense considering the way the CIA works.
