Every now and then, we get an episode of a TV show that directly impacts someone other than the main character. Will Trent season 3, episode 5 is one of those episodes.
After spending time on where Will is and how Angie will get her job back, it’s time to move onto other characters in the series. Faith has a complicated past things to her mom. She came into the series as the daughter of a dirty cop, but she is so much more than that.
She’s certainly had some time to prove that she is different. She’s also had to reconcile with everything she’s believed up to the point of joining the GBI and working with Will Trent. Now it’s time for her and the team to save her mom.
What happens to Faith’s mom in Will Trent season 3, episode 5?
The promo makes it clear that Faith’s mom is about to be abducted. It’s clear that this is targeted just from the promo, and the synopsis tells us that it has something to do with some sort of stolen coin. It looks like Evelyn knew that people were coming after her, and that’s probably why she returned to town in the first place.
By being taken while at her own home, she’s able to leave clues for her daughter to find her. I love that Will makes it clear that Faith has to take the lead in this. In a lot of other shows, we’d see the detectives linked to the victims forced to step aside. There’s that pesky business of conflict of interest. However, Will knows Faith will need to investigate this. In fact, he knows that Faith will be an asset in this.
Faith is one of those people who can compartmentalize. She’s going to have to separate a few feelings that are sure to come up, but I have faith (no pun intended) that she can manage it.
