Let’s backtrack, here. During Episode 4, titled “Immunity,” Victor was pulled out of the team for a while. He found out that he’d eaten some edibles that his girlfriend, Bonnie, had left out. It took Deacon and Annie to help the two realize that maybe they are right together. After all, nobody is perfect and ready for changes to their lives. Annie wasn’t the doting mother and caring wife that she is to Deacon now, and he made that clear. They had their ups and downs and there were questions about whether this life was right for Annie.

In a way, Deacon and Annie are an older version of Victor and Bonnie. Okay, maybe Annie wouldn’t have had the edibles left out for Deacon to accidentally eat, but there could have been other situations that could have gotten Deacon in a lot of trouble. The two managed to work it out and Annie became the wife of a member of SWAT.

Hearing about Deacon and Annie seems to have helped Victor and Bonnie. It’s like they realize that if they want to be together, they can make things work. Some things are just going to have to change, and that includes giving up the edibles, which Bonnie seems more than willing to do.

Hopefully, we’ll see the two make it work. They’re happy, and can we really question happiness?
