When will Ziva return for more NCIS Season 17 episodes?

We were all excited to see Ziva back with the team for two episodes at the start of NCIS Season 17. That’s not the end. When will she return for more?

When we learned Ziva was coming back for an episode of NCIS Season 17, we were excited. Then we learned that she’d be back for a few more episodes. Well, it will soon be time to see her return to our screens.

TVLine has been able to share when Cote de Pablo will be back on our NCIS screens as Ziva David. She has two episodes coming up, and one of them is in time for Christmas.

She’ll be in the midseason finale, which is slated to air on Dec. 17. She will then be back for the midseason premiere, which is set to air on Jan. 2. It’s not clear just how much she will be in the two episodes, but the writers have been excellent in finding the story before bringing the character back. This is more than just fan service.

The last we saw of Ziva, she told Gibbs that she had one more thing to do. Before Gibbs could even ask what it was, Tony DiNozzo called. Tony doesn’t know the truth about Ziva still being alive yet, but it’s likely that he’ll eventually learn it. That is as long as the writers aren’t mean and don’t decide to permanently kill Ziva off during the midseason premiere. That’s always my worry when beloved characters return.

When it comes to the midseason finale, it sounds like we’ll see Kasie and Ziva come face-to-face. That never happened in the second episode, and Kasie didn’t exactly seem that bothered. While everyone else spoke highly of the former team member, Kasie made it clear that if they meet then great, but if not then that’s fine.

Diona Reasonover shared that the two have managed to share some screen time in the last episode they filmed. Which episode is that? Reasonover didn’t say, but there was a shot of Brian Dietzen and Cote de Pablo in Kasie’s lab on his Instagram. Will all three be involved in this storyline here?

Regardless, it’s just great to know when Ziva will come back to NCIS Season 17.
