Chi McBride has stepped into the writer’s seat for Hawaii Five-0 Season 10, Episode 8. The series star is one of the co-writers, while his character has a big side storyline involving his niece. Here’s a look at the synopsis to see what to expect in the Nov. 15 episode.
Let’s start with McBride’s storyline. Grover’s niece, Siobhan, is coming to town. She’s trying out for the University of Hawaii basketball team, which certainly delights him. It sounds like he’d really like her to stay with him or that he’s just happy that she could live closeby.

Of course, there’s likely more to this. What are the chances that she’s only trying out because she needs a backup college? Or maybe she’s doing it out of obligation? Could Grover’s support actually lead to her trying to distance herself from the college?
As for the case of the week, Five-0 will need to team up with a DEA agent. The group will be in search for a killer who crashed his plane in the jungle. Oh, and there’s only $100 million worth of heroin on the plane, too. That’s nothing, right?
I’ve often found some of the storylines remind me of LOST, and not just because the two shows film/ed in the same location or that some of the actors crossover. This is another one of those storylines that reminds me of the plane crash series because of the small plane that Mr. Echo recognized.
The team is certainly going to be walking into a dangerous situation. Let’s hope they all make it through!
