SWAT: Did Chris make the right choice in her relationship?

Chris had to make a choice when it came to her relationship with Kira and Ty in SWAT Season 3. Was it the right one or will it come back to haunt her?

Caution: There are spoilers in this post from SWAT Season 3, Episode 8.

During SWAT Season 3, Episode 7, Chris brought up her growing feelings for Kira. She likes Kira more than Ty, but Kira wasn’t ready to step away from her fiance for Chris. It was a difficult situation, and we knew there was really only one choice she could make. Would she make it in Episode 8?

Well, yes. After speaking to Kay, she decided to take a personal day so she could get into Kira and Ty’s house and move out. Breakups are never easy, and you could see there were moments when she wondered if she was doing the right thing.

And it is the right thing. Chris needs to put herself first. She needs to be honest that the open relationship isn’t working.

There has to be a rule in these types of relationships. When you realize that you have feelings for one more than the other, speak about it. If the other person doesn’t agree, you need to get out to avoid any more heartbreak. And I love that Chris did put herself first.

However, it could come back to haunt her in a later episode of SWAT. Chris did it while both Kira and Ty were working, claiming she was sick when Kira came home unexpectedly for her forgotten laptop. She hasn’t even shared her full feelings with the soon-to-be-married couple, and it does seem a little harsh just leaving like that.

Hopefully, she doesn’t just ghost Kira and Ty. They deserve an explanation as they didn’t exactly do anything wrong. It was just no longer the relationship all three of them wanted.
