The SWAT Season 3 winter finale left us in shock. Jim Street has one hell of a predicament on his hands. Just what is he going to do next?
Are we going to see the last of Jim Street on SWAT? That Season 3 winter finale left us in shock, as his personal problems got in the way again. Just what is he going to do next? Is there anything he can do to get out of this situation?
Of course, there are spoilers from the winter finale if you haven’t seen it yet!
When his foster brother called for help, Jim knew that it would mean legal trouble. Sure enough, it involved a gang leader wanting Nate to run drugs across state lines. Jim couldn’t see that happen, so he decided to head to the meet with his brother.

All good? Well, apart from Jim sharing that he’s a cop, it could have worked out. However, two masked men came into the bar looking for the drugs. As tensions ran high and shouting occurred, Jim pulled out his gun and shot the two assailants. We finished the episode with Jim telling everyone else to get out of the bar. He’d be the one to clean this up.
But that’s the problem. How is he going to clean this up? The shots were from his work gun. Ballistics will end up matching at some point, which will bring up his integrity and why he was in the bar in the first place.
Chris warned Jim that something like this could happen. Jim has a history of being blinded by loyalty. She knew that he could put his job at risk, and that’s exactly what he’s done.
However, since Chris knew that Jim was meeting with Nate, is it possible that he’ll call her for help? Chris can be extremely loyal to her colleagues and friends, but this will probably cross the line a little too far. She’s not exactly going to help cover up the bodies for him, is she?
The best thing Jim could do is turn to Hondo. He’s done it in the past when it involved his mother. Now he needs to trust in his leader to figure out the current situation. However, that will mean a suspension immediately.
The SWAT winter premiere is likely to bring this story as the main focus. There’s no trailer just yet to get an idea of what to expect, but we can only hope that it will be dealt with quickly and not in a way that sees Jim Street gone. We’re already struggling without Luca around!
The synopsis doesn’t leave us with too much hope, though. It looks like Street isn’t going to rely on anyone close to him and continue to get into more mess to help his foster brother. Check it out:
"“Bad Cop” – Street is caught between his duty to SWAT and his commitment to his foster brother, Nate (Cory Hardrict), when Nate is ensnared in a criminal enterprise that could ruin them both. Also, the SWAT team goes after a ruthless crew that uses deadly force while stealing from card casinos, and Buck (Louis Ferreira) approaches Deacon to partner on a private security opportunity."
